About Karoon Phosphate Products Complex
Karoon Phosphate Products Complex Company was established in 2004 (1383) in Phase 3 of Industrial Park 1, located in the Abadan Free Zone, Khuzestan Province, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency, expanding industrial capacities, and supplying raw materials for downstream industries required by both domestic and international markets.
The company was built on a 6-hectare site to produce 50,000 tons per year of the strategic compound Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP). This STPP production project is the first of its kind established in Iran.
The project execution contract—covering engineering, equipment procurement, and supervision—was signed in 2005 (1384) with a foreign contractor possessing the necessary technical knowledge, while installation operations were carried out by Iranian companies.
